The Sundogs

I have never posted about this before, but considering all the antsy anticipation around my home...we are all going nuts waiting for hockey season to start. Never been hockey fans before. However, about four miles from our house is the home to the CHL CHAMPION ARIZONA SUNDOGS. They came to town the same year we did. We have really good seats. We have fantastic people who have the seats surrounding our seats. We have all gone a little bit nuts over our Sundogs. Yes, the Sundogs that beat the Colorado Eagles for the Championship.

We used to go to a lot of Padre games, that was really fun. However, the Sundogs games are hysterical, LOUD, primal contests that have us screaming and laughing all game long. It is "small" town entertainment at its best, and despite the questionable sportsmanship lessons the boys are learning...it can't be beat. Here we go Sundogs he we go (clap, clap).

For Robyn, everyone else close your eyes

Ok Rob, here you go: Pictures of the beautiful beautiful guestroom. This is the dresser that was my great-grandparents. Beautiful. This is the comfy cozy bed. I don't know why the walls look yellow, maybe because it is night, they are really green...maybe a yellowish green...hmmm.
These are the haphazardly stacked books on my beautiful built in shelves that we had someone build in.
These are the paintings my great-grandfather painted that are now framed above the beautiful bed.
This is the guest bath...it is the same.

A really busy week...

So, last post, we left off with Day One Havasu...this is Day Three. I think they look for tough and a little waterlogged. I am amused that Dallin is wearing Brick's vest and Brick is wearing Dallin's. I don't know which of them had that brilliant train of thought. It was Monday, it was a great, hot, make dry ice bottle rockets kind of day.
Ty: Prepared for Anything. Holding the Orange Emergency Flag. Possibly asleep.
Chris flew all the way from Colorado to spend time with Ike. I wonder if they are txting eachother? Maybe they have gone completely tech and are too advanced for eye contact and speech.
Dallin's Ordination: Grandma Lorna, Grandpa Randy, Grandma Annie, Grandma and Grandpa Fjellestad, Chris and Josh York, and his good friends, Wesley and Alex.
First Day of School, one week since Havasu...12, 9, and 6. Sixth, Fourth and First...this picture makes me sad...and happy...mixed emotions really.

Ok, so admittedly, admittingly, the last post was bad...and accurate

This summer, Ty played T-Ball. It was hilarious. He pointed out that he knew how to hit the ball because the tee in T-ball was just higher than the tee in golf. True. As you can see, he also played catcher, I loved the uniform. In June, Ty and Brick spent a week at baseball day camp. Brick is apparently a natural hitter...that golf thing again...but, although he had fun at camp, he has zero interest in playing Little League. Golf dominated again this summer, which is actually really fun.
Heather graduated from USD. That tall drink of water is her boyfriend, Dieter. Its ok. We like him. We had as much fun as is possible at a graduation ceremony.
Ike, Grandpa Scott, Dallin and Brick spent Father's Day weekend at the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. (That is a golf course in San Diego...does everybody know that?) They LOVED it! It was the BEST day ever! All that jazz. It was really fun, we were in San Diego for the week and Sea Worlded and Lazer Tagged and hung out at the beach.
We went to South Dakota with the Yorks'. Chris and Rachel saw a Discover Channel or Travel Channel special on the best fireworks in the country and this catapulted us all to Mt. Rushmore for the Independence Day celebration...also Ike and my 10th anniversary. We all had a great time, as always.
Lake Havasu...Josh, Dallin, Brick and Ty in front of the London Bridge. There is a more presentable picture, but this one is pretty spot on accurate for the trip. We spent two days on the lake swimming and boating and inner-tubing and eating. It was fantastic. Josh stayed with us for the week and then Chris joined us for Dallin's ordination.
